Happy Halloween!

We finally found time to carve pumpkins this afternoon - just in time to light them up for the big night. We all stayed home and handed out candy, watched Monster's Inc and ate caramel popcorn. Happy Halloween!

Finally getting festive

The kids don't have school tomorrow so that means NO HOMEWORK! hooray! I think I get more excited about not having homework than they do. We worked on costumes, pulled out halloween craft stuff and we are finally going to carve pumpkins tomorrow!

Low ridin'

My swagger wagon was low ridin home today from the stake center after picking up 18 buckets of grain and other food storage items. We are super close to our one year supply of grain! Hooray!

We celebrated Spencer and Sydney's birthday with a few friends at the corn maze. girls against boys - it was awesome!

Our first outing camping this year - SAD! We wanted to go so many more times but we have been so busy doing so many other fun things that this is the first weekend we could go. It was fun but cold! None of us slept well because it was pretty cold. I didn't get very many pictures either...

Happy Birthday Sydney and Spencer!

They had a super fun busy day! We went to a school field trip together, had a great dinner, quickly opened presents and headed to church for activities. Sydney and I had a mother/daughter activity and Spencer had scouts. We had cake and ice cream but I don't have a single picture - sad! Happy birthday to my amazing 9 year olds!

Fabulous Friday

Super fun day filled with tennis, sea kayaking, relaxing, swimming, trapeze, pool, ping pong, lots of eating and lots of FUN! So fun to have good friends to party with!

Bahamas!!

We had quick flights and made it to the resort by mid afternoon. The sky was a little gray and a little rainy but still beautiful!

Alona arrived this morning from Utah to watch our kids while we go to the Bahamas. An angel sister for sure!

Abbie's list

Abbie came home from school today with this to do list. She went right to work and accomplished almost all of them. She was quite put out that I had already loaded the dishes and folded the laundry. I'm not sure what inspired the list but I am certainly not going to complain! I love this girl!

Connor's curls

I have never let Connor's hair get very long but it is getting long enough that it is curly in the back. I wonder if it would be as curly as Catie's if it got longer! Sorry about the bad picture, I was using my old camera and couldn't capture it well.

Pudding parfaits

Kurt was in charge of FHE treats tonight and made a childhood favorite of his, pudding layered with graham cracker crumbs. If there is ever anything going on in the kitchen, Connor is sure to be right there. He pushes a chair up and wants to be helping. Thanks for the yummy treat!

Who's Your Momma?

We had a Who's Your Momma team party tonight and I am SOOOOO bummed that I forgot my camera. We had a slideshow, gave out awards and had a great time getting together again. Here is a picture of me with my medal that will just have to do for the picture of the day.

Catie's tantrum

I feel a little bad having pictures that look this sad but this is after about 10 minutes of crying and at that point it got a little comical and I realized that this is her first (of many, I am sure) major tantrum. It all started when Connor got to the table before her and sat in the booster seat that she normally sits in. She was mad and started crying and saying "my chair!". She cried for a while and then started flailing herself around I tried talking to her and holding her to calm her down. It wasn't until Sydney went over to talk to her that she finally calmed down. Sydney to the rescue again! Whenever Catie or Connor gets in trouble or is sad, they go running to Sydney to save them.
