Connor is one of the cutest wisemen ever..... dressing up and practicing to be a wiseman a few weeks early.

Christmas Tree for FHE

We went and picked out our tree tonight for FHE. Connor did not want to go near it for the picture - kind of weird for my fearless kid!
We were listening to Christmas music when the "Santa Rap" came on and Abbie had to dance. Notice her inside out and backwards pjs. That is what you do when you want it to snow - and don't forget a spoon under your pillow too!

Love

These two sickies stayed home from church today. They love to hug each other so much that they often pull each other to the ground. I hope they always love each other this much!

We got home in time for these guys to go to a friends house to root on the Cougars. Spencer was disappointed that BYU lost but Abbie reassured us that it is okay because "the Utah" won!

Another state capitol visited on our drive home from Connecticut. Trenton, New Jersey is a strange little city.

Thanksgiving!

A wonderful Thanksgiving spent in Connecticut with Grandpa and Grandma Woolley and our CT cousins. When we sat down for dinner Abbie said that it was like being at a fancy restaurant. The food was delicious and the company even better.

New York!

The girls went to the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall - it was AWESOME! Spencer, Kurt, Catie and Connor went to the Empire State Building.

The Washington DC Temple is definitely one of the most beautiful, especially lit up at night!

We had a great day with Scott and Mindy and kids going to the Capitol Botanical Gardens and the Library of Congress in the morning. The afternoon was spent golfing in the backyard, the dads taking the older kids ice skating and then the adults going out for a DELICIOUS dinner. A seriously fabulous day!

Kurt was in Charlottesville doing some recruiting so we drove up and picked him up on our way to DC. It was fun to take the kids by our Charlottesville house and to Darden. Unfortunately we got caught in LOTS of traffic and it ended up being a LONG drive.

24 minutes

that is exactly how long I have of uninterrupted time when I put on a Dora show. Just in the last two weeks, C & C have decided that they like TV and their show of choice is Dora. They sing the theme song and yell at Swiper to not swipe and then say Oh, Man! It is both a sad and glad day when you can start using the TV babysitter...

The daily scene from 4:00-5:00 at our house. These two are great at doing their homework. You'd think 3 computers in our house would be enough but I have a feeling that soon it won't be!

Pilgrims, turkeys and indians!

Finishing up Abbie's pilgrim report. This weekend we also worked on Spencer's Turkey project and Sydney's Indian project. Lots of projects to keep us busy!

Super Saturday!

Super fun day! Abbie and Dad went on a date this morning - IHOP and miniature golfing. Family pictures this afternoon . Spencer and Dad date (with a bunch of their friends) to the Bobcats game. They played the Utah Jazz tonight so the kids were torn between cheering for both teams. The Jazz won in the last few seconds - exciting game!

Abbie was in Heaven!

This project is right up her alley. She LOVES to create things and spent a long time today creating a pilgrim, an indian , a log cabin, and a teepee. She even designed the fireplace inside and fire pit outside.

Ride 'em Cowboy

Abbie and Sydney tied jump ropes to the tricycle and pulled Connor and Catie around and gave them bucking bronco rides. What great sisters!

Not babies anymore

I guess it means these guys are babies anymore when they are feeding, diapering and rocking baby dolls. Playgroup was at our house today and everyone wants to play with babies. We had more than enough babies and supplies to go around though C & C were not so sure they wanted to share. Hopefully Derek will figure out how to hold babies before his little brother comes in a few months!

Celebration!!

WOOHOOO!! After 2 years of reading 2 pages of the Book of Mormon almost every morning - we FINISHED!! We celebrated by going out to dinner.

My good friend MaryAnn Schill taught me this song when Spencer and Sydney were in Joy School in Charlottesville. I helping in nursery at church today and taught the kids this song and we have been singing it over and over and over. The little kids can't get enough. It goes like this:

Where's the beef?

We joined a "cow-pool" and bought 1/4 of a cow. Glad we didn't buy more - it wouldn't have fit in the freezer! I didn't take nearly enough pictures of the fun events today - thanks Woodall's for having us over to watch the BYU game today! We had a great time - sorry we didn't get any pictures!

Mystery Reader

I got to be the mystery reader in Abbie's class today! It was so fun surprising her and being in her classroom. Abbie also found out today that she was elected class treasurer! What a great day!

Picture of the day

Spencer was sitting outside with Catie and Connor this morning waiting for the girls to be ready for school when he called out to me to grab my camera and take a picture of them for the picture of the day. The girls rushed out in time to jump in the picture too. Some of the best pictures of my kids are totally spontaneous like this. I love these kids!

Sweet tooth

It seemed like every time I turned around today, Catie had a different lollipop in her mouth. I don't know where she kept finding them. The kids have chosen their sandwich bag of candy to keep and have given me the rest to save for gingerbread houses so hopefully there won't be anymore candy for Catie to find. I gotta keep my eye on this one - she has a sweet tooth like her mama!
