Beach highlights

We stayed in a fun little beach house on Emerald Isle on the coast of North Carolina. It was beautiful and we totally lucked out with beautiful weather. We had tons of fun looking for seashells, digging in the sand, boogey boarding and jumping waves. I could live on the beach and be a happy woman!

Road trip!

Driving to the beach! Abbie is in the back too but you can't see her over the car seats. We had the first season of Little House on the Prairie from Netflix and it kept them entertained for quite a while.

First fracture

a little impact fracture got this little cutie a beautiful green cast. she was pretty excited to be like 2 of her best friends who both have casts on their arms as well. she was also super excited to have people sign her cast and took sharpies with her to the dr.! now that it is on, she is a lot less excited since it still hurts. she was a super trooper today as we waited and waited in dr.s offices. the pediatrician, to an imaging office for the x-ray, back to the pediatrician and then later in the afternoon to the orthopedic dr.

Daredevil Abbie

fell from the monkey bars tonight and hurt her wrist. Why do these things always happen on Sunday night?? We'll see how it feels in the morning and maybe head to the Dr.

First trophy

Abbie is now the proud owner of her first trophy and boy is she excited. She has been talking about getting her first trophy for weeks. She earned it by playing hard this season!



Sydney has improved her soccer skills a ton this season and has become quite the soccer player - great season girls!

this kid is obsessed with buckles right now. has to buckle himself into his booster seat to eat and then do the buckle up after he gets out. same with his car seat - good thing he is pretty fast. catie is obsessed too and man do they fight if one of them tries to do up the other one's buckle first!

isn't she lovely?! Just picked it up tonight - I am excited to get out and ride at 7 am tomorrow!

Silly Bandz

the new craze to hit the elementary school scene. think flexible jelly bracelets that are in all sorts of shapes that you wear as a bracelet. they are the big thing to trade at school - funny that my kids have some yet they have not purchased any yet!

my littlest lady who loves to carry her baby doll and purse around. seriously growing up too fast!

The Gardener

This girl loves to help in the garden and waters the plants almost every day. She definitely has a green thumb!

it is hard to be serious and pay attention in FHE when you have this cute boy wearing dad's shoes clomping around!

i sometimes wonder if I will ever have a picture of all of my children looking happily at the camera. at this point it feels very unrealistic. the odds were stacked against me since it was right after church, the little ones fell asleep in the car but woke up when we got them out so we ran into the backyard to take a quick picture, in full sun, on random chairs. but there you have it - my cute bunch of 5 today.

being sick is the pits

Sydney spent most of the day like this - poor girl. I spent most of last night in the same position. Luckily we are both feeling better this evening. Catie and Connor had minor bouts with it earlier in the week, thankfully not nearly as severe.

Catching up....

on some lost sleep this week because we have had so much fun. I found Sydney on the floor zonked out around 4:00 this afternoon. I can't remember the last time that happened - it has been a fun filled week!

Another fabulously fun day!

I totally forgot my camera today - grrr! Sorry about the photo quality - good thing i had my phone with me though. Today we met up with Kurt for lunch downtown and saw his new office - yes, I said office! No more cube life for him! then i took the kids to Discovery Place. They have redone it recently and it was tons of fun! Here is Sydney laying on a bed of nails - it was crazy looking but really didn't hurt at all. I tried it too and it was almost tickle-y!

Super fun day!

We went to the zoo with a bunch of friends and ended the day sleeping out on the trampoline(for the first time) with Dad!

Spring Break is so fun!!

Jumping on the trampoline with the sprinklers all afternoon with friends! It was almost 90 degrees today!

Sharing shoes

Sydney wore my shoes around the house all day today. She kept telling me that it won't be long before she will be able to fit into my shoes and then we can share! I am in denial but she is right - stop growing up so fast!
