Mexican Fiesta New Years Eve!

We had a great time today at Scott and Mindy's house! We went to the Udvar-Haazy air and space museum this afternoon and then had a mexican fiesta for New Years Eve. Pinata, dance party and girls in costumes. It was a fun night!

Bubbles

These two emptied almost a whole bottle of shampoo in the bathtub today so they got to play with lots and lots of bubbles!

Sydney had some of her BFF's over for a play date today. Emily, Julia, Sydney and Anne playing Wipeout on the Wii. They had a great time!

We had the Parkers over for dinner and games tonight. Emily shared her delicious oreo cheesecake birthday cake with us!

White Christmas

We came home to a lot of beautiful snow on the ground. It actually snowed on Christmas - the first white Christmas on record in NC. Too bad we were in Florida and missed it. The kids didn't waste any time getting outside to play in it this morning.

The snow was so powdery that it wouldn't pack at all. Abbie got creative and piled some snow by the slide and found some leftover steamed broccoli in the fridge and made a snowman. She is so spunky!

Day 6 - EPCOT - Merry Christmas!

A wonderful Christmas day! Santa Claus found us in Florida, filled our stockings and left us reservations for breakfast with the storybook princesses. We dines with Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora and Sleeping Beauty. it was yummy and fabulous! We explored the World Showcase and had a great time. It was a very Merry Christmas!

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom

Christmas Eve in the Animal Kingdom was perfect. Fun rides - the kids LOVED Expedition Everest and went on it at least 4 times. They wanted to be in the front - hands up the whole time.

Day 4 - Hollywood Studios

Spencer did Jedi training - it was awesome! I videoed it but didn't get many great pictures..
Another fabulous day! We were a little tired today after having so much fun. It was fun having a day to watch shows and not waiting very long in lines. Plus, these lights that were set to music were awesome!

Snowflakes and paper chains

These cute kids make paper chains and homemade snowflakes and had a fun time decorating the house. What a fun day!

Abbie was sick and stayed home from school today so she and Connor cuddled on the couch watching a show.

Candlelight dinner

We had an impromptu dinner by candlelight (and Christmas tree light) tonight. It was super gourmet - waffles! It was fun to have it dark and amazing how much quieter the kids are in the dark : )

Christmas Light tour

We went on our annual Christmas light tour tonight. One of our favorite places is this circle in a local neighborhood. All of the homes do a great job decorating and each driveway has a lighted arch. The entrance to the circle also has a huge lighted arch. It is beautiful!

A Christmas Story

Sydney and Kurt went on a fun date to lunch and to see a local theater production of A Christmas Story.

Dad of the year

Abbie's class has had optional theme dress up days this month and today's theme was presents. We didn't plan ahead and didn't plan to participate. Abbie had a plan and got Kurt to help her out. She wanted to draw a present on a white shirt with sharpies.

It turned out great and she was on cloud 9 when she left for school.
And these two are too cute to be left out!
